Although modern medicine is most accepted worldwide, however there is no cure for all diseases in this or any other discipline including alternative and complementary medicine. I believe that if we can combine the best parts of modern , complementary and alternative medicine, we can provide highest quality of care to the patient. International Organisation of Integrated Health Practitioners is trying to combine conventional modern medicine with yoga, Ayurveda, TaiChi, Qigong, homeopathy, Acupuncture, Acupressure, Hypnotherapy, Chiropractice, Massage therapy, aromatherapy, dance therapy, music therapy, art therapy etc. Since combining all is quite a herculean task, particularly because I want to do it in in an evidence based way, I have decided to take smaller chunks. This book is a piece of combining modern conventional medicine with yoga and Ayurveda.

The book has fundamentals of systems and areas of convergence of the disciplines which were thought dissimilar and far apart, however I have tried Integrating Modern Medicine with Yoga and Ayurveda for Better Patient Care to bring them together to have some taste and consider possibility of combining these for a better quality of life, preservation of health and cost-effectiveness. The book as 3 parts, the first part introduce modern medicine, yoga and Ayurveda with their uniqueness and commonness. Second part takes each body system on its own, and analyse the perspective of modern medicine, yoga and Ayurveda followed by understanding of a combined effect. Part three brings together all the discussion with impact and cost-benefit analysis.
